Enterprise Knowledge (EK) is hiring a Strategy Intern to join our world-leading Knowledge Management Consulting Practice for the summer of 2023. We have a diverse staff and a dynamic, collaborative workspace that provides numerous professional growth opportunities and incredible benefits!

We are seeking applicants from all majors with exceptional communications skills, both written and oral. This position demands excellent analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills. This individual should be hungry for opportunities and wish to be valued for the unique skills and insights they bring. 

The strategy intern will receive on-the-job training and will assist with a wide range of strategy and design projects internally and for domestic and international clients while based in our office located in the Metro DC area. In the past, some of the projects our strategy summer interns have assisted on include:
  • Creating the strategy and implementation roadmap to develop and deploy a Knowledge Graph for Boston Consulting Group’s primary Content Management System;
  • Working as a project manager for the World Bank in order to design and develop a mobile app for use in water and sanitation projects in several developing countries;
  • Gathering requirements and implementing change management practices for the National Park Service in order to create a single, world-class knowledge and learning platform; 
  • Developing and implementing knowledge management strategies for organizations including a Global Insurance Company and major Car Manufacturer; and
  • Leading the strategy and design effort to recommend the technical landscape for the Saudi Telecom Company to solve complex business challenges with Artificial Intelligence methodologies and support information management best practices.
 
At Enterprise Knowledge, we value our interns and work to promote their professional development during their time with us. While there is truly no “typical” day as a intern at EK, you will work closely with various EK staff members on a wide array of projects, which may include: 
  • Further developing and refining our brand strategy;
  • Produce marketing materials;
  • Edit/enhance internal and client documents;
  • Observe client interactions through interviews, focus groups, workshops, and/or formal presentations; and
  • Supporting consultants on day-to-day work (including deliverable writing and review, project management support, etc.).

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Rising Junior or Senior;
  • Excellent organizational skills coupled with the ability to multitask;
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities as well as working collaboratively as part of a team;
  • The ability to meet daily, weekly, and long-term deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • The ability to work independently on important projects with minimal supervision; and
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
 
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Background or experience in analyzing organizational needs, processes, and challenges; and
  • Work experience with social media, communications, and/or technology.
